Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 23, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how SpecDD handles information in connection with the SpecDD website, the SpecDD Codex plugin, the SpecDD Claude plugin, the SpecDD IntelliJ plugin, and the SpecDD CLI.

Website

SpecDD does not collect personal information through this website.

If you contact us by email, we will use the information you provide only to read, route, and respond to your message. Email communications may necessarily include your email address, name or handle, message content, timestamps, and any other information you choose to include. We do not sell, rent, trade, or share that information with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

The site may be served by hosting, content delivery, DNS, security, and infrastructure providers that process standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, operating system, requested pages, referrer, and timestamps. Any such processing is for security, reliability, abuse prevention, delivery, debugging, and basic operational purposes.

SpecDD does not use this website to intentionally collect account credentials, payment information, government identification numbers, health information, or other sensitive personal information. Do not send sensitive information by email unless we specifically request it and agree on an appropriate method of transmission.

Plugins

The following plugin-specific statements apply to the SpecDD plugins listed below. For purposes of these statements, “data” includes, without limitation, personal data, telemetry, diagnostics, usage statistics, prompts, model outputs, source code, repository contents, filenames, file paths, project names, workspace metadata, configuration values, logs, identifiers, and network addresses.

SpecDD does not operate a backend service for these plugins that collects or records plugin data. SpecDD does not sell, rent, trade, disclose, analyze, or otherwise process plugin data because the plugins do not send such data to SpecDD.

The plugins may run inside third-party host applications or platforms. Those host applications and platforms may have their own privacy practices, telemetry settings, logs, marketplace records, account systems, update mechanisms, or infrastructure. This Privacy Policy applies only to SpecDD’s own handling of information and does not govern OpenAI, Anthropic, JetBrains, GitHub, operating system vendors, package registries, hosting providers, or other third-party services.

Codex Plugin

We do not collect, record, transmit, store, retain, inspect, sell, share, or otherwise process any data from the SpecDD Codex plugin.

The SpecDD Codex plugin does not send SpecDD your prompts, completions, agent transcripts, repository contents, source code, file paths, filenames, project metadata, command output, logs, diagnostics, usage statistics, telemetry, account identifiers, device identifiers, or IP address.

To the extent the plugin reads local files, specifications, configuration, or workspace state, that activity is local to the environment in which the plugin is used. SpecDD does not receive or maintain a copy of that local activity. Any data handled by Codex, OpenAI services, your editor, your terminal, your operating system, your repository host, or other tools is subject to the applicable terms and privacy policies for those services, not this plugin-specific statement.

Claude Plugin

We do not collect, record, transmit, store, retain, inspect, sell, share, or otherwise process any data from the SpecDD Claude plugin.

The SpecDD Claude plugin does not send SpecDD your prompts, completions, chat transcripts, repository contents, source code, file paths, filenames, project metadata, command output, logs, diagnostics, usage statistics, telemetry, account identifiers, device identifiers, or IP address.

To the extent the plugin reads local files, specifications, configuration, or workspace state, that activity is local to the environment in which the plugin is used. SpecDD does not receive or maintain a copy of that local activity. Any data handled by Claude, Anthropic services, your editor, your terminal, your operating system, your repository host, or other tools is subject to the applicable terms and privacy policies for those services, not this plugin-specific statement.

IntelliJ Plugin

We do not collect, record, transmit, store, retain, inspect, sell, share, or otherwise process any data from the SpecDD IntelliJ plugin.

The SpecDD IntelliJ plugin does not send SpecDD your source code, project contents, file paths, filenames, project metadata, IDE activity, inspections, diagnostics, logs, usage statistics, telemetry, account identifiers, device identifiers, or IP address.

To the extent the plugin reads local files, specifications, configuration, or IDE state, that activity is local to the environment in which the plugin is used. SpecDD does not receive or maintain a copy of that local activity. Any data handled by JetBrains IDEs, JetBrains Marketplace, update infrastructure, your operating system, your repository host, or other tools is subject to the applicable terms and privacy policies for those services, not this plugin-specific statement.

SpecDD CLI

We do not collect, record, transmit, store, retain, inspect, sell, share, or otherwise process any data from the SpecDD CLI.

The SpecDD CLI does not send SpecDD your source code, repository contents, specifications, command arguments, command output, file paths, filenames, project metadata, configuration values, logs, diagnostics, usage statistics, telemetry, account identifiers, device identifiers, or IP address.

To the extent the CLI reads local files, specifications, configuration, repository state, or workspace state, that activity is local to the environment in which the CLI is used. SpecDD does not receive or maintain a copy of that local activity. Any data handled by your terminal, operating system, package manager, repository host, continuous integration system, hosting provider, or other tools is subject to the applicable terms and privacy policies for those services, not this CLI-specific statement.

Data Sales and Advertising

SpecDD does not sell or rent personal information. SpecDD does not use plugin or CLI data for behavioral advertising, cross-context behavioral advertising, profiling, marketing lists, or data brokerage.

Retention

Because SpecDD does not collect or record data from the listed plugins or the CLI, SpecDD has no plugin or CLI data to retain, delete, disclose, export, or correct. Email you send to us may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to the request, maintain ordinary business records, resolve disputes, or comply with applicable legal obligations.

Security

SpecDD uses reasonable operational practices for the website and project communications. No method of electronic transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and SpecDD cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted through third-party networks, email systems, hosting providers, developer platforms, marketplaces, or local development environments.

Changes

SpecDD may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of the website, plugins, or CLI after an update means the updated policy applies to that use.

Links from this site may take you to external services, such as GitHub. Those services are governed by their own privacy policies.
